South West Biomedical iNet

A new service for businesses looking to transform ideas into new products and services.

The South West Biomedical iNet (innovation network) is a £2.2 Million European Project that will serve the Biomedical sector, where the sector is defined to cover biotechnology, pharmaceutical and medical technology, food and health technology.

Using European ERDF Competitiveness Funding the iNet covers the South West counties of Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Somerset, Dorset and Devon.

The South West is recognised as having considerable strength within the sector, particularly within higher education and research organisations. The iNet will harness these strengths to benefit both new and existing businesses, leading to business growth and job creation.
