iNet activity is organised across three fundamental areas;

Realising New Opportunities: this focuses upon the identification of opportunities for innovation and collaboration. By linking existing networks and partners together we foster new market development initiatives.

Strengthening Capabilities: supports new product development and promotes a strong knowledge transfer between Higher Education Institutions and industrial partners.

Assisting Transitions looks at the transitional phases a company makes during its lifecycle and supporting growth through funding, workshops on export and other areas.

This activity is supported by two basic iNet products:

• Business Assists – we provide tailored business support such as business development plans, legal audit, market assessment and advice and guidance on intellectual property.
• Projects – our supported projects offer a form of more extensive assistance. Examples of such could include taking a new product from concept to first prototype or helping a business to enter a new market.

All of the services offered by the Microelectronics iNet are free of charge and offer businesses a lightweight and rapid process to access support.
